You'll notice that Gamesradar have a video up of a full race on Mario Kart.
I watched it last night and I was dissapointed, though I still know its going to be great fun.
It doesn't look like much has changed from previous Mario Kart outings, apart from the two riders in one kart thing. In the video you'll see Luigi go up close sometimes and whack another player, things like this are going to make it better but still one major thing has gone.
That is speed. Where the hell has the speed gone? Ok, I know the characters now have to ride on self-made Carnival floats but doesn't mean they can't stick in *insert large number here*cc engines. It looks like it plays very slow which is a shame, maybe this is to aid the kart character switching thing or something, I don't know.
Another thing I noticed which was new to me was the way in which a 'Special' weapon is gained. In the video Mario and Luigi were in the kart and so the special was those fireball things which bounced around like crazy nits. So I don't think I'll be wrong in saying people like Donkey & Diddy Kong will have their own Special move, as will the other characters.
It'll be great none the less and I can't wait to play the thing. Oh god, I've just imagined them sticking Pokemon characters in Mario Kart :-S or creating a new game completely, Pokemon Kart. eeeeeek. No matter how much the Pokemon games rule, I wouldn't want that.

Yeah, I remember doing that many a time. I'll do it to my brother tonight if he's game.

*kicks Shaneo in nuts*
I'll pretend you didn't say that.
:D
He was my favourite, and I can't wait to team him and Yoshi.
He was the best.
Oh, and that majorly obious shortcut in DK's Jungle. You know, where they accidentally left out part of the wall... :D

But it's made even better by what I said below.
People expected you to use a lightning bolt when they were at the ramp, so once you'd made them small, they'd stop.
Then they'd start again once they'd regained full size, but wouldn't have enough speed to get over the jump.
Hilarity ensued.

Now that sounds like one hell of a track. Weaving in and out of trucks etc. So much fun.
