I don't generally bother with the women in FF games (first time through anyway). Well, FF games where it doesn't really matter who you choose. For example in FFVII all characters can use materia in the same way, so you may as well pick characters that have a strong attack and limits you prefer. Even though Tifa is supposedly a good fist fighter she hasn't got as much strength as Barrett, Cid, Red XIII etc.
I agreed she died too soon. I ended up wasting a lot of time building her stats up for no reason.

I had a tear or two in my eyes when Aries died. I even knew it was going to happen but it still got to me. I find the FF games to be the most emotional ones I've ever played.

What does it show then? All the movie clips? I can never cry at a game. They just haven't reached that level of realism yet for me.

ff6 doesnt do the blitz thing, ff8 froze during the end sequence with the video camera and ff10 when you fight sin on the airship.
