Well I have, and I would.
every person i know (including me) started playing ffs when ff9 just came out i reckon the main reason most people like ff7 best is because it was so different from the rest of the games available.
if you found random person and they played all of the they probably wouldnt say ff7 was the best

I think that was to make her loss feel greater than if she had just been wearing regular kit. Of course once players knew she was going to die on a second playthru they saved beforehand and de-equipped her before the event, and sure enough the sense of loss isn't quite as great.

I agree that this type of system is one of the best, but it is still nice to be able to customise and make your favourite characters better in certain way like in ffx.
