Well Figo.....*Drumroll*....Have no fear, The veteran FFX player is here! And he's also a amateur Manga Artist. *Ihihk! (I'm giggling)*
Anyway, the thing here is to cast Haste on Tidus and/or Rikku (Better if you have Hastega) so they can have more turns in battle cos they are the only ones who can command Cid to move the airship, so you can let your party evade Evrae's poison breath.
And the other thing is that when you are away from Evrae at a great distance(By moving the airship), it means that Evrae won't be able to attack your party with great damage. Evrae will only, at it's most, cause little damage that will be like probably more than a 1,000 but less than 2,000. So at this point, you can heal your party with Al-Behd potions or whatever you blitzball fans call it!
Your party is not the only ones with tricks and bricks up their sleeves, cos the airship can provide cover by launching it's torpedos. With 2,000 damage caused for each batch of torpedos and 3 batches in total, it would mean that the airship can hit Evrae at 6,000. But keep in mind that the airship only hits Evrae with it's torpedos once at a time. So if U want another batch, you'll have to be close to Evrae, and then get away from Evrae again.
But beware! As soon as Evrae casts Haste on itself, cast Slow/Slowga on Evrae, otherwise....U just don't wanna know! Trust me! Oh, and another thing, use everyone's overdrives(If there are any) so things would be easier.
*When you're away from Evrae, attack using dummass Wakka and Sexy Big Boobsie Lulu to provide cover.
*When "I" was fighting with Evrae, my Auron could already cause 9,999 damage for his normal attack. So it only took my Auron 4 turns to kill Evrae....Heh! Didn't mean to brag! Actually I do....
Thanks for the tips though.
Anymore?
> Anyone got any tips on how to beat Evrae?
Charge up the everyone's Overdrive's (people and aeons).
Cast Haste and Slow (if you can)
*You must always do these things before a battle*
I dont' know why everyone has so much diifuculty with Evrae. I beat *it* the 1st time.
Meh.........
Yuna would not fit in in a seedier environment with twin pistols. She is calm and patient, not "EAT MY SOOT SCUM!".
Anyway, Konami like tricking people and looks like Squaresoft wanted a piece of the action.

...but that would be a huge waste of Dark Matter as there are far better places to use it, such as getting the "ribbon" ability on your armour. Its possible to get ribbon equipped armour when fighting Dark Aeons, but you`re much more likely to get break damage limit or break HP limit. As a result, if you don`t want to go and get the celestial weapons, then its best to fight the dark aeons to get break damage limit, and save your dark matter for better things.

The 1-MP cost is great! Lulu has it as well, combined with magic booster, so you get extra power in your magic, whilst only costing 2 MP - good stuff! Other cool abilities include Rikku's money grabbing tactics, and of course, double AP as above with Yuna. Sadly that isn`t found with Auron, Tidus or Lulu, but its nice that the other four can be fully kitted out and still get extra AP.

...because that way all the other "celestial only" effects come into play. For example, when you have your celestial weapons fully powered up they begin to affect your aeons. The break damage limit ability will also allow a specific aeon to break their damage limit as well, allowing Valefor, Ifrit, Ixion, Shiva and Yojimbo to shoot up to 99,999 instead of the weedy 9,999 they took off before. Obviously Anima, the Magus Sisters and Bahamut don`t need it as they can already break their damage limit.
> his attack has never gone that good for me, do you have to have the
> ultimate weapon?
Not really, you don't need any Legendary Weapon for one's attacks to go beyond 9,999. You just need a weapon that has "Break Damage Limit" by customising the specific weapon with 99x Dark Matter.
*The good thing about all Legendary Weapons is that they have "Break Damage Limit" and "Triple Overdrive" and two other special features of their own. For eg.
Auron's Masamune: Break Damage Limit, Triple Overdrive, First Strike, Counter Attack.
Yuna's Nirvana: Break Damage Limit, Triple Overdrive, Double AP, One MP Cost.
But you can actually customise a Legendary Weapon of your own, if you have four empty slots on that weapon, with 30x Winning Formula, 99x Dark Matter, and a few other rare ingredients.....But it's best to get the Legendary Weapons through the Celestial Mirror, if you know what I mean...
The attack reels thing is quite easy to predict, as the pattern is simple. The first two reels are just 1,1,2,2,1,1,... and the third is 1,0,2,0,1,0,2,... It means that you can make mistakes if you are tired or lying upside down or something, but usually its hard not to get the 12 hit combo.
As for the aeons overdrive, the only aeons that can go past 99,999 are the ones with multiple attacks, so for example, Megaflare from Bahamut is useless - you take off just as much with a regular attack, but with the Magus Sisters and Anima, they have more than one hit... but they still aren`t up to Wakka's standards if you ask me.

Not when Wakka on full power and you can get 3-3-3 EVERY SINGLE TIME.
That 99,999 x 12 if you hadn't guessed. It's the best attack in the game like that. Doesn't take too long, either.
