The game forums are closing, so i am moving the popular FF forum here. No spamming, just 100% FF. Let's start with a question.... which of the FFs is the best?

theres already a ff10-2 comming out, but something tell me it won't be as good as the orginal ff10, it looks too me just like a fans version of the ladies in ff10. well just have to wait and see.
i have to agree ff7 is simple the best and probably will never be beaten, i think i remember reading some where that squaresoft are thinking of making a final fantasy 7-2 a sequal too ff7 which will no doubt have a love story between barret and tifa. i think i read it on ign.com
FINAL FANTASY 7 IS THE DADDY! 10 has the best lifespan and gameplay. 8 has clloio things all over the shop and the Guardian Forces, allthough their better in 10. 7 has the plot, depth, minigames and comedy ( rember the brothel?. I rest my case
8 is better then 9 but is far too easy near the end, even Omega weapon. 9 is like7, well not as deep and same looks, differnt gameplay. More like FF7.5

well Chrono Trigger is a pretty decent snes rpg probably one of the best on that console and yes they have already made a sequel to it on the psx called Chrono Cross i have to say they are good RPGS but when you say are they better then final fantasy i have to disagree, (well maybe better then some ff game like ff8, donno why i did'nt like that one) but definetly not better that ff7, ff9, or ff10.

well Chrono Trigger is a pretty decent snes rpg probably one of the best on that console and yes they have already made a sequel to it on the psx called Chrono Cross i have to say they are good RPGS but when you say are they better then final fantasy i have to disagree, (well maybe better then some ff game like ff8, donno why i did'nt like that one) but definetly not better that ff7, ff9, or ff10.

Don't lose faith yet.
FF4 is one of my all-time favorites now, it's a great story - very interesting.
And FF5 has the best abilities system ever. Ever ever. The jobs system, it's just so cool.
Although I stopped FF5 after some gyt killed my whole party with Lv. 5 Death - they were all level 15.
I suppose it is easy to get bored with them if something annoys you. FF6 wasn't that great, in all honesty, it dragged on a bit.

Then just download a SNES emulator and you can get FF4,5 and 6 for free. Might not have the cutscenes but you won't have to pay around £30 to play them on your ps1
I'm a bit reluctant to invest in ye olde FFs. I get bored easily, and if it isn't great fun or really pretty, I won't want to play it. I never really got into FF6, especially after I deleted the save for it. I'd rather see FF1-9 all re-made in full graphics - that, i would pay money for.
