"We need a website"

Right. The web design forum here needs a website, for posting all sorts of advice, links, news etc. A "community" website. It should be interactive and fully display the best of our skills. So:

Coding - Me, cjh and ajh. Basically anyone who can.

Site design and layout - Reaper and Tyla. You guys work together on it. Give me a final layout as a Fireworks file and I'll take it from there

Content - Andy/Bob, and everyone else here

We need some webspace, I'll get some at Freedom2Surf once their servers come back online. They're a very good server for what we want to do. If anyone else wants to help out, that's great.

Any more suggestions would be welcome.

We need a name,

I like TechNet.

Any ideas?

Guys if you need any help with this site, I'll be happy to lend a hand. I know a fair bit about html and java and I'm pretty good at designing.

I like communities.freeola.com, I think we shoudl keep with that.

OK, I'll start a few designs for the new site if I (ever) have some free time. If anyone else wants to then that's great. We'll pick the best design and get started.

Or rather, "what NOT to do with your new XP"...just taking a drill to it, I'll try to get some pics of the result..

So is someone going to make a start on this then?? I'm going to go begging and I could do with being able to say "This is our website, send me some freebies".

Me + Phil are going for a hardware section, product reviews, tips and hints etc. etc.

Yeah, I like that. We can always add more later on with we need to. Now we need to start thinking of a name. It should probably include 'SR' 'Web Design' 'Help' and 'Community'.
Any other suggestions?
