It arrived this morning, sadly no TMB online + adapter yet but I am not bothered. I have just com[;eted the firstlevel on Socom with overall grade of D. I love tapping circlethen team then regroup.
I ordered the cables for the adapter last night, got next day delivery, so hopefully, and I mean hopefully it will get shipped today and arrive tomorow with TMB Online + adapter.
Socom is amazing in single player.

There's no friends list as such but you can see which players are currently in the game.
SOCOM uses it's own nickname database but Sony have just introduced their own one (you register via the NA setup disc) that will most likely be used in future games, so everyone will always have the same handle.

They've just reset the rankings on SOCOM again this morning, all player ratings are also zeroed (bang goes my 2.4 million head start on the n00bies) :(

They actually did that yesterday afternoon sometime FM... I logged on ranked at 1100 and after one game I was at 200! With 5000 points. Only had two games last night and I was ranked 330 when I logged off, so it won't be long until I'm back where I belong...
Do they have servers for beginners on Socom? I don't really want to be playing experienced people straight off as i'd rather play the game then just sit around waiting for the game to start again after i'd been shot.
Of course though if the Half Life servers are anything to go by it doesn't matter if you do have beginner servers there's always sad little idiots who've been playing the game for ages and decide they're going to come on and just start killing everyone.

You can set up newbie only rooms, but other players might still jump in -the only way to get anywhere is to persevere. Even in an all beginners match you could probably still get killed within 30 seconds.
BTW if you get killed straight off, don't just sit around waiting - talk to your team mates. Work out tactics and stuff.
Ok thanks for that. Been playing CS lately, don't know whether that will help me or not with this game but it should improve my aiming and other small things.
