Hello everyone.

I am going to talk to you about an upcoming site which I will own and how you will be able to win product/prizes for free.
The site is not up yet as I am still designing the layout and how it will work. There are no catches.

How it works?
You have to guess a number between (Example: 0-50) Depending on the cost of the prize/product, we have not yet figured out a Cost/Number ratio but when we do you'll be sure to check it out on our site.
You have 1 guess and after that has gone you have to earn your guesses.

How to earn your guesses?
You can do this by referring 3 or 5 friends to our site and when 3 or 5 of them guess you get an extra guess upon the prize/product.
(We're still deciding if it should be 3 people to have to refer to get an extra guess, or 5. Suggestions?)

This is a UK Site, we only ship to uk, we DO NOT ship oversea for obvious reason the cost would be too much.

What can you win?
Well anything really, a £5 / £10 / £20 top up for your phone (Any Network) A Game for any console, your suggestions here would be very greatful for us to realize what various people want/need. Oh did I also mention cash?

Please follow us on the links below.

Please suggest ideas on what prizes/products we should give away.
Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you :)

Thank you Hmmm.... you have earned a chance to win a free top up voucher, possibly. All you need to do is fill out this survey and give me your name and address.....

Which brings me on to my point. To the original poster - taking your own knowledge or feelings out of the equation - how would you feel if that same proposition was put to you?

Dubious at best, so I won't be going near. But you never know guys. You think people believe a word I'm saying when I say Freeola give free stuff away twice a week??? But we do.

I take it you understand facebook? A lot of these new "LIKE to see the picture/answer/video/list" groups that keep appearing then take you to a survey site and won't let you do what you want until you've spent five minutes doing some survey seem to be very unpopular and infuriate webusers.

In theory, it does sound exciting to get chances to win prizes, but websites that rely on members to get referrals just to enable them to get started on the site - then being faced with a survey before beginning isn't going to win a lot of people.

However, despite my opinion, if you can market it in such a way that many people take part, then I wish you well!

Thank you, but you havnt seen this idea before or have you? - It's not shaky it's very well planned out; I wont be cheating my customers or making it hard to play the game on my site.

May I know what your variation on this is?

I used the Top up voucher code as an example of a prize, I will be giving away accessories and consoles / games. It's not a scam. Who said you have to enter in YOUR details. It pays for the products/prizes I give away. I'm sorry you have this kind of view upon my idea/plan... Hope you'll see a way around it in the future.

Well a scam is attemping to defraud you in some way. I dont see any evidence of that here.

This type of thing does work quite successfully for some sites & games (I suppose Bingo is the best example). This particular idea seems on shaky ground though. They may well prove us wrong though.

On bright side, thinking about it has given me an idea for a variation on this that might work. If I dont log on tomorrow its because I've retired to Hawaii to live off my internet millions!

Exactly, so it is a scam. It takes a second to sign up, but it's a lifetime of spam mail, or spam calls. Thanks, but no thanks. Who would want all that hassle just to have a chance to win a top up card. And the majority of people are on contracts anyway now, so a pretty useless prize.

Not being brutal or offensive to you, but this right here is your buisness model.

Well, i'm also having a survey pop up before you can take a guess, which will pay for the prizes alone. And in the future i'll be able to give away bigger prizes, maybe even.. Xbox 360 / Ps3 / Laptops / Cash.. you HAVE to fill out the survey before taking a guess.. But i'm working on the survey to be an easy to fill out.. Just email or a phone number you have to enter. I dont want to waste too much time of my visitors.
