The new Sony handheld will offer raw speed faster than the PS1, but just short of PS2. This will be many times more powerful than the GBA. For storage, the Sony handheld will use a 1.8Gb capacity disc system. This holds even more data than Nintendo's GameCube which is limited to 1.5Gb.

But you're missing a vital point. GameBoy is a household name, it's been running, and will carry on going, for a long time. Parents are never going to say 'Get off your PSP', are they? They'll refer to it as a GameBoy, because GameBoy's global popularity are huge.
It's same with the PlayStation, because it's a household name, no matter whether a console a better than it, for example the GameCube and XBox, it'll still sell by the bucketload.
But, to be honest, as long as it's good, and not a brick like the old 1980's mobile phones, then I'll get one, regardless of whether a new GameBoy has hit the market, unlike blinded devotion towards PlayStation which many fanboys have.

Personally, I prefer the new Sony T610 (smaller handset, but same size screen as the Nokia). With mobile phones such as these, Sony making a hand held games console, etc, Nintendo are going to have to come up with some thing very special for GBA2! If they don’t - things will look fairly gloomy for them.
