yeah, sorry about that, got sidetracked for a minute. Most of the sci-fi novels I've read come from the 'masterworks' collection on Amazon. Phillip K Dick is probably my favourite writer, in particular A Scanner Darkly. There are a list of about 50 great books in that collection from the past 50 years or so. Worth a look.
Also though, stephen king is great. the stand is probably my fave book, and I was thinking of ordering 'the long walk'.
Those two genres are about as far as I go at the moment. i was thinking of getting those lord of the ring books, but am not sure.
