Hi all, this topic is going to be for all the games (I can't have the whole competition in the topic "SR world Cup 3- Team Selection" can I?)
The competition will start off tomorrow with the first games of group 1 and 2 and we'll go from there, the groups are:-

Senegal (AgentFrodo) VS Germany (Absolut Neo)
Germany look favourites but expect the unexpected, In the last game Mexico knocked out France, so you never know…
1st Half
Senegal kick off.
Senegal push forward, a nice thru ball into the area followed by a first time shot by Diouf… Kahn manages to parry it away and Neuville clears, Diouf was bundled over as he struck the ball but advantage was played so no penalty.
The balls chiped in from out wide by the Senegalise winger, no ones marking Camara, he brings it down and smacks it goalwards… GOOOOOOAAAALLL FOR SENEGAL, CAMARA TAKES THE LEAD AFTER JUST 15 MINUTES, SENEGAL TAKE THE SURPRISE LEAD! SENEGAL 1:0 GERMANY!
Germany Kick off.
Neuville almost wriggled his way through until a last ditch tackle denied him, and as Klose tried to follow it up he was fouled giving Germany a free kick in a decent position, Hamann dispatches it goalwards… OFF THE POST! And cleared!
Senegal seem contempt with keeping their foot off the pedal and defending their lead.
Senegal have a free kick approximately 30m out, Diouf goes for it… IT CLIPS THE BAR! Senegal almost doubled their shock lead!
Klose has just had a great chance after getting through on goal he could only hit it straight at the keeper.
Daf plays it down the line to Diouf, Diouf cuts in and crosses… Hamann misses it Camara heads goalwards… Kahn Parries… Camara on the volley… CAMARA HAS JUST DOUBLED SENEGAL’S LEAD! 42 MINUTES GONE AND IT’S SENEGAL 2:1 GERMANY.
Germany kick off, Neuville goes forward from the kick off,he manages to put a thru ball to Klose, he’s 1 on 1… KLOSE SCORES IMMEDIATELY TO SENEGAL’S SECOND! SENEGAL 2:1 GERMANY 44 MINUTES GONE!

Badgerman’s Half Time Thought
Well After Senegal shockingly seemed to have the game in the bag, Germany pulled a vital goal back which brings them straight back into it. But in all honesty, Senegal have outplayed Germany so far.
2nd Half
Germany Kick off.
Senegal have worked the ball down the wing, Camara manages to turn Hamann, He crosses it in, Diouf is there… But Kahn manages to parry it away!
Germany counter-attack, Klose passes it to Neuville on the edge of the box, he turns the defender before rifling it goalwards… WHAT A GOAL FROM NEUVILLE! STRAIGHT INTO THE TOP CORNER! WHAT AN EQUALISER! SENEGAL 2:2 GERMANY 58 MINUTES GONE

Senegal are really putting the pressure on as they try to restore their lead but they just cant seem to be able to break the German defence once again.

BAH BAH BAH! 3 reports, all of which have gone into extra time. Oh, the match, well it was like a completely different German side in that half, but near to the end Senegal were taking control of the match, onwards to golden goal!

A Senegal thru ball from out wide wasn’t dealt with by the German defence and due to a failure from the Senegalise attacker to capitalize on the situation, Kahn was allowed too scramble the ball away.
Germany are counter-attacking, it’s 3 on 2 with a defender tracking the winger out wide, Ballack manages to get the cross in, neuville controls it, he blasts it just outside the 6 yard box… THE KEEPER SOMEHOW PARRIES IT ALONG THE LINE AND OFF THE POST! The balls scrambled away by the Senegalise defence, great stuff.
Some scrappy defending by Senegal is needed as the Germans pile on the Pressure.

Diouf went on a 1 man mission to take on the whole German side and almost succeeded had it not been for his shot to of been.
Camara’s picked up the ball on the half way line, he’s going forward, he does some tricks on the ball before darting past a defender, Camara for the Hatrick… HIS SHOT BOUNCES OFF LINKE’S FOOT ONTO THE POST AND OUT FOR A CORNER! UNBELIEVABLE!
Fadiga with the corner, it’s whipped in…but Hamann easily disposes of it.
Yay it’s full time which means penalties, I’m overjoyed.
