The PS2 has great games and even better games coming over the next few months. Microsoft and their X-Box are all talk as they have been over the past few years!!, it's meant to be more powerfull (Dreamcast was more powerful than PS1, but did that help?), no sign of how good the games are and by the time it comes out PS2 and it's range of games will be much better value (MGS2, VF4, Pro Evo - the best footy engine there is and SSX on budget by then!). Now PS2 has dropped to £199 sales have tripled where as the X-Box will be £299 and nowhere near the choice of games.

Your wrong Kid Rock the PS2 has good games behind it but the xbox is a more powerful console but anyway what sales the consoles is the games. But if Sony made good consoles then why do we have to pay extra for the Hdd and modem?

The Playstation has some brillinat games behind it i.e. MGS2 and Pro Evo Soccer, just to name a few. The X-Box has some games which dont really strike me as 'Oh my god, these are awesome'. Halo??? They've taken the Resi games, well no loss for the PS as they've had all four. We still have Silent Hill 2 and some more great games.

For me the PS2 has loads of great games behind it while I dont see any really good titles behind the X-Box, and games are what make the cosole.

So... PS2 is the king.

That's interesting... because when Sony entered the industry they did EXACTLY the same! They saw that the games market was getting quite big, and they wanted money... and no more!

So, how do you get money from a console... well, have greeat games on it. How do you get great games on it? Well, ask developers exactly what they want from the console, give them loads of tech support, assure them that it'll have so much marketting it can't fail, and buy a few small developers to assure a good selection of initial games.

This is exactly what Sony did with the PSX- and it worked a treat! Developers loved it, it was marketted greatly, and is the biigest selling console (barring the Gameboy).

The simple truth is that MS have done the same, and to great success. They have some top exclusive titles, an easy to develop for platform, great marketting and, above all, one of the BEST console development teams in the business- headed by J Allard who has been making games since the 8 bot days... well before Sony!

Oh, and I'm not being biased ofr the xbox... the truth is that I will not get one; not because they are bad- I would love to play Jet Set Future and the rest- but simply because I can only afford one console, and I like Nintendo's games!
