x-com terror from the deep, PC.

kerrr-wality rts turn based action. blast aliens on land, on ships and under the sea with wicked weapons like torpedo launchers. collect carcasses and alien technology, research it, and then use it on them.
before that obviously was the original x-com, which was almost exactly the same, although missions were all on land, and the weapons weren't as good in my view.

hey, how about two old favourites, all be it from different eras :

Operation Stealth, Amiga. A 'James-bond-em-up' style point n click game with bits of action thrown in. Can't remember any of the story apart from the beginning sequence, where an f19 is stolen, but I know it was good.

Day of the Tentacle. PC. One of my favourite point and click affairs, hilarious, grotesque and a lot of fun.

Bring back the point n click genre. The last one I played was discworld 2 which was reasonable but not great.

Just realised the new one is an april fools joke. But the picture of the old game is indeed real.

Sorry if you thought I was making it all up.

xenon 2 megablast, amiga. great music, good blaster

get hold of the tune (bomb the bass - megablast) and reminisce :

"there have been mixes and dance tracks put together in the past,
but none can out-run or equal the power of megablast ...."
