Did Betamax have bottomless pockets?

I think in this case the PC vs Acorn and MAC debate comes into play. PC are crap but cheap (PS2) (look mine crashed again today!) and has gradually pushed out the better machines (Xbox, GC). However in the case of PS2 vs Gamecube and Xbox. I think you'll find Nintendo are ticking along nicely and Microsoft have bottomless pockets........
Also people are waking up to the fact that the PS2 market is full if highly crap games.

You are kidding? This guy with an eye patch asked me if I wanted to pre order it for the GameCube and I gave him £100. Don't say he was lying to me...

Fair point. Betamax tape was infact a bit better quality to VHS. People who had Betamax instead of VHS were not unhappy. They did have a better machine and tape format. But the problem was that VHS was pushed like mad, more people bought them, they got cheaper, more machines to choose from, longer tape length. All this resulted in films being released first on VHS. Then, films were only released on VHS. Eventually, you had trouble even finding blank Betamax tapes. So Betemax users did eventualy have to pay up again and get a VHS machine. If you can afford both, do it, buy both!. For the rest of us, stick with the most dominant format.

yeah, fifa 2003 where each player is controlled by a guy online.
that'd be great.

EA sporth gameth pleath! :D

You mean idiots like you? Most people who play games on a regular basis can smell an EA title a mile off and they know to avoid the next bag of tosh which they serve up to the gullable public.

Oh know EA aren't going to launch games on the Xbox and GameCube! What will I avoid and make fun of now? Thats providing you know what you are actually spewing out and can back it up with facts, but I will let you into a little secret...
*Whispers in ear*
You don't actually know what the hell you are talking about do you?
I think if you open your idiotic eye lids and look at the release calendar you will see that EA are in fact launching another set of pants games on the Xbox and GameCube. Capiche?

You make the point about there being no car damage yet you persist to call the game realistic? I think I will drive down the road in my mom and dads car at 60mph and see how many buildings I can hit without rupturing my splene.

Yes. But EA are potentially burning bridges. Which could be fun. I'd like to see them apply for a LIVE licence later and be refused. Or be unable to develop for Xbox in the future. That'll teach 'em
Doom 3, Halflife 2, Halo 2, Project Gotham Racing 2 etc etc
Or some crummy EA sports games?

Hopefully. I liked EA for about two months. Buffy was fun, The Sims was relaxing, Nighfire was a laugh and NFS was passable.
But it appears a leopard can;t change it's spots and EA are being tw*ts again. So screw 'em. :D
