Considering the purchase of a DVD player when noticed the price drop of the PS2. SR have a good deal with their PS2 Fire Pack at £229 but what else would I need for good quality DVD playback? The official remote perhaps? A better scart connector? DVD Region X whatever this is for?

I wouldn't bother, the PS2 is rubbish. Don't believe what they say about GT3 either - the graphics are no better than GT2.

Top tip - I believe that you may (if my recent NTSC problem post is anything to go by) need a decent scart cable.

All my neighbours are PS2 less old farts so wouldn't consider stealing one.

The DVD player on the PS2 is fine, it offers good quality viewing and I've had no problems with it at all. I don't have any of the fancy things of which you speak.

However, its not worth buying a PS2 when you can just steal one from a neighbour! Speaking of which, should Steph go with Woody?
