I went swimming last night, and finally managed to do 64 lengths, thinking this would be 1600m as each length is 25m.
I could do this easily at home, yet it's been a struggle here. I thought I was just becoming a fat git, eating too many pizzas and drinking too much beer. I was getting tired by about length 40.
However, after speaking to some people at work, I've just discovered the length of the pool is, in fact, 33.3m.
Yup, 3 lengths to 100m.
So, last night I swam 64 x 33.3m = 2131.2m.
So I'm not a fat like I thought I was. Which is a good thing I suppose.
But still, it peeed me off somewhat....
Goaty, I swim because I don't want to get a beer belly. Swimming and cyclig are the best forms of general excercise.
'S true, that.

One of the swimmers at the same swimming club as me wears glasses, and he has goggles that have a special lense. I think they are a little pricey, but it means he can see the program, and know what we`re doing during a session.
Which pool where you swimming in btw? (Just in case I`ve been there sometime).
People thrashing about in chlorine soaked water needn't worry about how cool they look.
Do they make you wear those rubber hat things? In Italy,it's regulation.
Swimming sucks.
I learned so I wouldnt drown if I fell in, other than that? We got no place in the water, I'm not about to waste millions of years of evolution to get clotted hair and stuff.
Bah
I hate Tomb Raider
Well, more stupid anyway....
Failing that, keep you specs on and put a snorkel mask over the top.
Would Specsavers do perscription goggles, do you think?
Apparently, the pool sloped, so for

Ah yes, but for the other half, you were swimming down hill, so it all works out ok in the end!
:-)
Better than discovering it was actually 20m, and you HAVE become fat!

I found that the last time I went swimming. But like you, I found out otherwise the following day.
