I went swimming last night, and finally managed to do 64 lengths, thinking this would be 1600m as each length is 25m.
I could do this easily at home, yet it's been a struggle here. I thought I was just becoming a fat git, eating too many pizzas and drinking too much beer. I was getting tired by about length 40.
However, after speaking to some people at work, I've just discovered the length of the pool is, in fact, 33.3m.
Yup, 3 lengths to 100m.
So, last night I swam 64 x 33.3m = 2131.2m.
So I'm not a fat like I thought I was. Which is a good thing I suppose.
But still, it peeed me off somewhat....
I agree totally. It's all designed

And this is why I am doing my "Honest" presentation at work.

Their acronym describes them perfectly.
you nearly wrote NADS.

Which is the National Association of Dyslexic Students.

You can't beat a bit of meat!
and
"I'm big boned"
NOW I am sacred.

I agree totally. It's all designed to get people to take up these faddy diets, eat 'specialist' foods, or buy repulsive 'shakes'. And aimed primarily at image-conscious young women, too - though the blokes are catching up fast.

Erm...
Like at someone like Maurice (sp?) Greene. The fastest man on the plaent over 100m, yet I bet he's overweight for his height, as muscle weighs a helluva lot.
Yet you can hardly call him fat, can you?
> Ooh, yeah. So you're a 'beanpole' then? :-)
Pretty much! :-) But it works for swimming.
I apparently need to lose 20kg

I have a neat trick for losing stuff. Put it just outside Sainsburys, and it`ll be gone in the morning.
Thing is, I don't think they take

That is a good point actually. I have light bones, whilst my brother has thicker ones. As a result, he is told he`s too heavy, when really he`s fine.
