I'm sure many gamers have traded in their old games and feel like you've got a bum deal. I've once asked how much would a games dealer give me for Dino crisis two and the answer I got was six pounds.
Why are the prices they offer us so low as I have actally seen a second hand game cost more than what it cost in the shops new (this was an army man game, so now one was going to buy it nw anyway)
I feel that we sould have set rules and regulations in which the dealer has guide lines on how much to give their customers instead of their own guidelines.

What really extracts the urine, is when you have offers in certain stores which I won't name, like Trade in any three games and get a new one half price. It can be any game no matter how new and you only get half the price off taken off.

I know what you mean. I think there is a rough guideline that the shops follow and it's basically that they will give you "one third" of its current new retail price.

You say you were offered 6 quid for Dino Crisis 2 on the PSone. How much is it new? I predict it's about 15 to 20 quid. So 6 pounds is roughly one third.

No disrespect to SR, who have just started a trade-in service, but no shop is ever going to give you anything for nothing.

Most I ever got for a trade-in was £20 - when I traded SHadow of Memories for Sky Oddyssey. That was very good, in my opinion, as I got Sky Odyssey for half price.

I do have a question about trade-ins though. Maybe someone from SR can answer it...

My games are always kept in mint condition; as such, when I traded Shadow of Memories for Sky Odyssey in my local Game store, it was in a condition comparable to the 'new' copies on the shelves.

What is to stop Game from re-selling my copy of Shadow of Memories as 'new' for full price? Are there any industry regulations which govern the trade-in system?
