"Did anyone here enter the NGC Ikaruga contest ?"

Just wondering, I know it's not the most popular game here but NGC were running a contest with three grands worth of prizes up for grabs for the top three scores on chapter 1, it closed today and you had to send in video footage. I managed 2.07million, I don't expect to get into the top three but you never know .....

I could direct at least 10 people to you who can score 20 million plus on Ikaruga, what are you trying to do exactly ?

If you have any other ideas for challenges, as I don't have the game, just going on other peoples suggestions, I'll happily add them :)

I'm alright at Chapter One though. I might get a perfect run one day...

But they'll probably have a new ranking thing up after then. I hope so anyway. I'm at 73 now, unless someone's knocked me down.

I got to 63 chain after about 12 hours, 9 hours later I'm not much further along :(
Rankings may disappear at end of July when contest ends so take a screenshot if you want to keep a copy.

I'm gradually moving up the rankings. 76th in the UK now, after 3 and half hours of gameplay.

I had a max chain of 38. I always get myself in a position that I have to shoot two out of three ships, for example, and end up shooting all three.

And I always die a lot sooner if I emulate the videos.

I know what you mean about chaining, I can keep my chain going and get 63 on chapter 1 with a score of just over 2 million but I have to let many ships escape because I know it would ruin my chain and wouldn't be worth it.

I just got my top score of 1,745,500 a few minutes ago. Not in the top 100 yet, but I haven't had it long so I'm not expecting much.

I'm trying to emulate the demos given , but finding Chapter 1-3 and 4 hard.
