Okay, an absolute torrent of entries for this one, it too ka good couple of hours to read them all, and I had to kill several trees for the paper to print them all out, so no moaning about the winners.

Winner of a game of his choice - mickey, for his suggestion of a 'Gameaday Receipt' idea, of which many of you suggested, but mickey got their first. Well done, mickey.

Runners up prize of a DVD of his choice goes to Aliboy, for his 'Santa' idea. It's well put and a nice festive idea, so it's definitely worthy of a prize. Congrats.

Thanks to everyone for all your entries, we read them all and found them to be very useful. Peace out, and complaints to the usual address. Cheers

Ali

Extra GAD prize here for those with a creative brain to help us with our marketing and promotions.

1. Don't suggest any alterations to the site design. Don't suggest expensive campaigns.

2. Suggest how we can attract more visitors to the site from within the pages of our Club Magazine and our adverts in the specialist press such as PC Gamer.

3. Remember space is very limited. But you can enter this with something as simple as a change to the wording which we already use.

Below is an example of the type of thing we are looking for:

Headline
So, what do you say boys?

Text
Chat me up and WIN! Visit Gameaday.co.uk now. Just click on me and type in your favourite chat up line. That's all it takes to win ANY game of your choice in our EXTRA chat up line competition. There's one prize for the best and one for the worst chat up lines.

Picture
Virtual girl in suggestive pose

Explanation
This would be an extra Gameaday prize running in conjunction with the promotional campaign. Designed specifically to draw in new visitors.

The winner will be the person who makes the suggestion MOST LIKELY to draw in extra visitors. The deadline for entries is the end of October.

Tricky eh?

TITLE:
Every day 1,000,000 people are conned into buying games for much more than they should.

PICTURE:
Pictures of all the games mentioned (their cases)

TEXT:
Take Microsoft Train Simulator for example. In normal shops £50*. We do it for £37.

Max Payne - usually £35* we charge £11 less.

Take the change you make and you could get the latest Championship Manager game.

Don't let yourself be conned.
Check out UKGAMES.COM before you buy your next game.

*RRP

IT WOULD LOOK LIKE...:

Tell me what you think ^
Might need to change fonts

EXPLANATION:
Statistics give authority to the advert. This advert would be colourful to get the readers attention. Then in bold text YOU ARE BEING CONNED draws people into the advert. They read on see how much less they could be buying for. The shocking bit is where they truthfully tell the reader they can get three games instead of 2 for the same price. Three of which that are quite popular at the moment. I'd certainly be tempted to go to this site with these promises!

A Picture of empty quiet street or somwhere were people usually are but there are none in the picture, an empty hospital ward with unmade beds could be good too.

You really want to push the Gameaday competition in peoples faces. Its what gets people here, its not what keeps them here, but it helps establish a link.
Announcing that you can get something for nothing will often bring people to you. Too tired to word stuff for you.

Get quotes from GAD winners explainging the straight forward, no strings attached competition and stuff!

"Its amazing, I just turned up and chatted to someone about Iron Monkey, next thing I know they want to give me any DVD of my choice for my contribution..."

That sort of thing. If people look at your add and think "There'll be a catch" then there less likely to come.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
