i like books, I can concentrate better on them than reading stuff off the net. I keep meaning to learn php but never quite got round to it. If I can find a good deal on a book I may invest.

Well, you can carry a book around with you, and you don't have to look at a screen all the time to learn it, plus (for me at least) you don't have to tie up the phone line for a long time.
I'm just one who prefers to learn it out of a book if I can.

I'll check out them sites Turbo recommended first, but I still feel more comfortable reading a book.

Well, I used "Sams Teach Yourself PHP4" but I'm sure there are some better ones out there, as this is one of those, teach you in 24 Hours ones.
However, there are quite a few mistakes in it, which I only picked up on when looking at free PHP Scripts I've downloaded. It's a pretty easy-to-use book though, not bad for £15, so thats one I'd tell ya' to give a go, or at least look at it in the Book shop.
