Timesplitters 2

I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.

So go on what have you been playing? and why?

Tales and Paper Mario 2, Tales is the most enjoyable RPG I've ever played and Paper Mario is going the same way aswell although I love the battle system in Tales.

Metroid Prime: Echoes.

Just completed it. The last boss goes on for so long. Wasn't too hard, just dragged on. Quite liked the ending, although didn't manage to get 100% scans, only need some obscure Luminoth technology. Bah.

Nah I've done that, that was easy, you just jump at her and she falls.

A then B straight away.

Happened twice.

Then once after a while you have to face like 5 of them, that was fun too, kill one and collect the thing that kills them instantly.

You will when you're on a beam and one just randomly appears and takes you out with no warning and no idea of how to avoid it. Then you have to fight everyone again and climb all the way back up the tower... URG

I dunno. I got annoyed mid way through POP1 by the fact these nutters kept re-spawning and I got kinda bored.

But I'm not getting all that annoyed this time.

Not yet anyway.

It's fun to do it the first time, but then you just do the same thing over and over again and it gets so boring.

Well at least they don't constantly respawn this time.

The first time all those people appeared in a room and I had to do the platforming bit, I grabed hold of a pillar, swung round and decaptitated all but one.

I then pick up an item of the floor and imbedded an axe into another freaks head.

I actually enjoyed fighting the women in red, Roll slash, run a,bb, jump, sweep, slash.

Argh I wanna play it now.

THe fighting is ridiculously annoying. You enter a room and it sweeps round showing you all the platforming possibilities, and you just want to get on with it, but you have to fight a hundred identical orcs and jumpy ladies who scream "Oooowh the pain is so pleasurable!!!!" by tapping A B B A B B A B B A Y Y Y. Half the time I just throw them off the edge of a cliff so I don't have to deal with them.

Echoes is 1,000,000,000x better you should have bought that.

I don't get the fighting. So far I've slammed my way through a bit of the game and the fightings been rather minimal! There was a bit on the ship at the start, and we got that annoying Woman in red, but I've been doing mostly platforming!!!! So really I haven't noticed anything.

And the fighting is much improved. If you don't worry about the combo's anyway. Prince can use the scenery far better and that second, throwable, weapon is a really nice touch.

Rock soundtrack is terrible though. Really disappointed in it. But the game is excellent.

Can't wait till I can afford Echoes, not long now.

There's far too much fighting. In the interview in NGC the producer said that people complained that there was too much fighting and that it broke up the excellent platforming. So what did he do? Have less fighting and more platforming? No that would be silly. He put in MORE fighting.

I don't like the rock soundtrack either, it's stupid, and it also seemes less fluid that the last one. I think I've been spoiled by the excellent Echoes, but it just doesn't seem very polished.
