Timesplitters 2

I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.

So go on what have you been playing? and why?

I don't mind the skits really you get to know your party members more :D
What I didn't like in Skies is the battles they are okay at best, they are slow, the frequency of random battles before you get the upper/lower sky upgrade for the Delphinus (I thought they said they toned it down for Legends?) and when you attack it doesn't feel too convincing because of that and the not so brilliant sound effects when you hit an enemy.

Other than that it is a superb game the storyline is a bit better compared to Tales oh and I prefer Lloyd to Vyse :p Collete is okay but I like Fina more otherwise it's Sheena > Fina > Collete.
Also Professor Sage goes into Ruin mode too often for me to like her :p

I think there should have been more control in what they said to each other during the skits, jsut so that it gave it a more realistic feel, plus it allows you to control friendships within the group.

I saw some old footage of RE2 on this nintendo dvd. The player ran back and forth getting attacked by some crows. It was obvious he had no idea what he was doing. Extremely funny though.

The skits are a good idea in context as they give a kind of persona to the characters.

I agree that it sucks on the amount of time it takes to go through them mind.

Completed Resi. Took me just under 12 hours. Now I want Zero.

Yeh that'd have to be changed. Voice acting put back in or skippable text like in the glowing spot point skits.

The skits are infuriating because you can't speed up the dialogue, and just end up skipping them.

The only thing Tales has I wish Skies did have was fully voiced cut-scenes. And Tale's "Skit" system is a brilliant idea as well. But yeh, overall Vyse > Lloyd. And Fina >>> Collette :D

I've ever fell in love with the RE games, but tht's probably coz i am not into first person shooting or general shooting games 100%, RPG's, fighting and adventure games are what i thrive on, mostly RPG's though.

I like Skies just as much as Tales, but now that i think about it skies seems much better.

There's a fair bit after more until you get to the second disc. I gave up when my file got deleted ages ago, when it was first released. Resi 4 just made me realise I have to finish it.
