I don't know why, I finished Zelda and decided to return to my older titles rather than lunge into any new ones (Pokemon soon yay). I should really play the still far from complete Metroid but that bores me so I had a laugh a minute blast on the frankly excellent and addictive Timesplitters 2, had some mates over to play it too. This is turning out just like Perfect Dark on how much I play it.
So go on what have you been playing? and why?

Heh, you get your money's worth with Skies, that's for sure. My favourite Cube game.. glad you're enjoying it.
The random sailing battles *do* get annoying, but (minor spoiler) once you leave Yafutoma (Japan Land, as you called it :D) you won't ever have to fight one again ;)
And also the speed you get the crystals speeds up a bit. Bet you're wondering how you get the silver one, eh?
The game is so cinematic.. it's pretty amazing. Still, my favourite part is still to come for you. Enjoy it, it's a top-class game.
Oh, and if you like the music (which is great I think) you can download it here. http://www.planetdreamcast.com/soaworld
Also got Viewtiful Joe for a reasonable price but not had chance to play that yet, probably spend the week end on it
My only disappointment with the GameCube version.
Not that I'm not enjoying it or anything, of course.
I've found it to bare quite a few resemblences to Shenmue, in some ways. Like when Vyse was stranded on Cresent Island, for example. You had to fend for yourself, make some kind of a living to survive long-enough, lost in a new world of 'Exploration'.
I also love some of that music which sounds very `SEGA´ (if you've heard it, you'll know exactly what I mean).
In short: It's taking up nearly ALL of my free time, no other games are getting a look-in (even though I keep buying!) and I don't seem to be getting much further with the hours I put in... :)
Those mid-air random battles are really starting to get on my nerves now, and I often found I couldn't walk for 20 seconds without having a new one to interfere while inside a temple!
Forget about Zelda or anything: This is THE game I'd like to see as a movie in some way.
Dang nabbit.
Apart from that, I'm not playing anything else.
daytime: Pikmin
Night: Resident Evil 2
