Bad example. "Crap" is an evolution of Medieval Latin...

Wow. I didn't know that. You learn a new thing every day!

Did you do English Language at A-level? I did English Literature and Advanced Extension English (AEA) which involves some Language. I found the language component quite interesting, but I am still doing Literature at University.

Who said I'm better than everyone else? I'm from the north myself, and have absolutely no problem at all having a dig at myself. Then you come trouncing in with your "haha! mine crap art smelling sweeter than thou's" social discrimination speech. One of us is taking themselves far too seriously, and it's not me.

Like I said, I'm the fool with the sense of humour, you're the overbearing, must-be-serious anti-discrimination sociopath.

Yeah it for simple words like 'Crap' which are usually of Anglo-Saxon origin. Whereas a word like 'phenomenal' is more abstract and it more likely to be 'latinate' and of latin origin.

Slight case of the over-exaggerations there, I think. Why should I keep my 'red-rag temper tantrums' to myself? Surely, that means that you should keep your patronising 'I am better than you all' statements to yourself.

I did not detect any humour in your post. Call me devoid of a sense of humour if you want, but I can't see how any of your post could be construed as being humorous.

I may be a fool, but at least I have a sense of humour. I think you're picking on what I said because you have certain unresolved social issues of your own. I would appreciate if you keep your red-rag temper tantrums to yourself in future.

Lol. I didn't mean to sound pompus, but I thought that this git needed taking down a peg or two ;-)

Some more:

'metanym'
'plosive'
'onomatopoeia'
'iambic pentameter'
'alliteration'

Right, that's English got out of my system.
