I think stone comes from Anglo-Saxon "Stan" or "Stana", so you can have that one.

I actually did a half language - half literature English A-level (less reading :D )
Good choice going for literature at Uni. Language is an absolute sod (and that IS Anglo-Saxon!)
I did creative writing and literature for the english side of my degree.
