Thank you, this is all I'm trying to say. I'm not here to have a lengthy discussion about sales, profits, customer service and the like, I came on to tell you something and it was roundly ignored.
And Mr Tribute... consider yourself on a warning. Language like that won't be tolerated, and the mood I'm in this morning, you're lucky you didn't get banned. Believe it or not, there is a sliding scale... someone that enters the forums F'ing and blinding is more likely to get banned than a trusted regular/notable that lets the odd swear out. If I banned everyone that made some sort of swear word, we'd have nothing left. I really have no interest in picking on newbies etc., the idea that I do makes me laugh.
Now excuse me, but I really do have work to do.

dicklicious seems perfectly innocent to me. Strange that Robin said his mum was dicklicious, but it's not really a swear word is it?
Don't discuss other retailer that are in direct competition with SR. Personally, I don't think import retailers would come into it UNLESS those import retailers also sell UK versions of games. Then the rules would still apply.
As for the swearing part...well can swearing have a detrimental impact on profits and revenue or discussions about rival competitors?
'Nuff said.

Ha ha, maybe you should stop wasting time reading crap in the life forums eh ? I'm not straying from the point. If the site was better and service was better then we'd have no reason to talk about XXXX would we ?
Maybe if you applied the rules of the site even handedly rather than just picking out those who are unpopular and newbies then we'd respect what you said more ! I swear on here, tons of people swear. Anyone get warned ? Nope. Banned ? - newbies occasionally. Regulars and notables by and large do as they will and no one does anything. Me, Light and Goatboy threw swear words, abuse etc at each other in the Life forum. Did anyone step in and say 'Stop' ? No, we carried on until bored. Same goes right now in the another topic, people are talking about something being dicklicious. Is that suitable for kids to read ? Doubt it.
When the law is seldom enforced and blatantly ignored by some then don't be surprised if your words have little impact with others.

Damn right, it's a crap game. heh heh

Three little letters: MSN
I'm willing to let the odd mention of other sites go here and there, but the point is (and let's not stray from the point here Mr Dandy, something you're well known for) that you and others continued to chat openly about specific special offers on another retailer's website IN THE THREAD that asked you not to! This is what makes me angry. Let's just leave this topic alone now, shall we?
Why not do your own promotion, or at least a survey asking for people's opinions/thoughts on improving the site/service ?
I know if order from XXXX then I'll get an email confirmation the moment I order, that the availability will be correct, that I will not be charged until they ship it out to me, that I will at the absolute worst, receive a new game on release day - often earlier and never later - and that the order tracking will work. And that anything ordered and in stock before 2PM is sent out next day.
If you had that kind of service then I'd shout your praises as would everyone else !
How many people do you hear mention that they use the forums but never order ? Something's wrong there - you've got a barrage of advertising, some of the latest gear, tons of stock, but people don't order. Last time I ordered was Dark Angel on Xbox - turned up Monday after release despite being ordered days in advance of release and postage being paid for. It was a crap game but that's not your fault. I ordered a Gamecube from XXXX when Zelda came out, free postage, ordered 1:30PM Thursday, the courier was at the door around 12PM Friday.
Do it as an extra GAD - start a topic, ask for suggestions and see what happens. For about a £40 cost you get to market research a pile of gamers and get their honest brutal thoughts. I honestly believe that something as simple as not immediately charging for preorders would gain you many orders alone.
Ironically if you'd left the whole thing alone people still would not be reading this now would they ?
Not sure what relevance it has in this case, but you get my gist.
