The Xbox's immediate future is amazing, easily the BEST lineup this Christmas.
Maverick can say what he wants about sales and new releases for the Gamecube, but the problem is, even if the facts are true, most non Nintendo owners don't believe them. They just don't care, Nintendo may produce amazing 1st party titles, but most gamers don't care. This Christmas it's Sony and Microsoft, IMO Nintendo are out of the running in the UK. As it is an absolutely key title for Nintendo's Xmas, Final Fantasy, has dropped to 1st quarter 2004. From what I see Mario Kart on 14th November is the last big game of 2003 for the console, and I don't know about others here, but right now I'm seeing a repeat of 2002's disastrous end of year release schedule where the new releases dry up before December.
Sure, the Cube has multiformat games, but they don't sell the machine. Plus the Cube will be going up against the new version of the PS2 in all it's shiny noise reduced built in dvd remote glory.
Plus the Xbox games will appeal to casual gamers as well as game fans. And that will go some way to selling a good few more units.
PGR 2
Halo 2
Half Life 2
Counterstrike.
All of these are going to be big sellers and great games. The Xbox has a very rosy future in deed.
What I will say though, is that the future for both the Xbox and GameCube looks excellent. Personally, I believe that the GameCube has the greater number of worthwhile exclusives on the horizon, but that is a matter of opinion.
Currently, I do think that the Xbox has few decent exclusives, as Ali mentioned I do (Halo and Morrowind are the two I own, which are out on PC anyway) - but I've never said that there are just 1 or 2 titles to look forward to. I don't know where you got that from, but I've always said that I bought my Xbox for the many, brilliant exclusives in the future.

I would disagree.

Hah
Despite the fact I've sold tons of previous consoles on eBay, I still rarely buy any games from eBay, and I'd never buy any console at all. I mean, you could pay £200 and the day you receive it it stops working, and you're stuffed. Figuratively speaking of course.
