Mine are.....
1) - concentrate more on advertising rather than warning and threatening importers
2) - get RARE back!
3) - make a decent looking Zelda game (the cel shading did nothing to get rid of the kiddy image did it)?
4) - stop the endless delays in releasing games.
5) - shoot the current person in charge of advertising!

The fact is Maverick, your strategy is a good one, so Nintendo ain't gonna use it!
I can hear it now, Nintendo's Christmas message 2003; "NOE are happy to report that this Christmas is going to be one to remember for Nintendo. We have successfully sued over 40 games importers across the UK and are currently chasing another 13. We have spent £28 million pounds on bringing these evil importers to justice. We are looking to the future. We have decided that it would not be prudent at this time to lower the price of the Gamecube but we have some great offers for this festive season. A black Gamecube, a third party memory card and Turok for just £175. We feel at NOE that our advertising strategy is working very well and we will not be increasing our advertising budget. Due to this exciting Turok package we have decided to delay the launch of Mario Kart Double Dash!! until the Spring of 2004 as some of the tracks have flowers on them and we feel the game will sell more copies during the springtime. We will be having a major launch event for Mario Kart, the best Nintendo have ever done before. This massive event will take place in the car park behind the Queens Head in Scunthorpe and we hope to attract at least 12 people to this amazing launch party. As part of our gratitude for the excellent work carried out by the staff at NOE HQ we have decided to give evreyone here a bumper Christmas bonus. We look forward to what the future holds for NOE".
Call me cynical, but its not as daft as you might think!
which for noe?
I know! a bomb with a letter, could be a seasonal Christmas one too!
i can see it now.....
"oh look someone sent us a Christmas present, how nice....*opens to see c4* oh looks its a bomb, that's nice...*goes back to suing importers*..........*BAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*"
ho ho ho. :^)
I wouldn't waste your time mailing them as I don't think Capcom would agree to such a package like the Resident Evil pack and there is no way Nintendo are going to start listening to the public. The best pack they could do is a Metal Gear + GameCube + Special Edition Metal Gear memory card and 1 Official COntroller for £100! That would shift consoles but I doubt it will make an impression on the Xbox this year after today's announcement.
1) Exploit this Christmas. They have a fantastic line-up, a brilliant back-catalogue and some GameCubes to shift. Lets see them make something of it.
2) Drop the price of the GameCube and create some decent bundles to attract different markets. For example;
- GameCube = £79.99.
- GameCube + GB Player = £99.99
- GameCube + Zelda, Metroid, F-Zero OR Mario Kart = £99.99
- GameCube + Resident Evil Zero, 1, 2 and 3: Nemesis = £129.99
And so on and so forth. This would be an excellent way to exploit the upcoming festive season and brilliant line-up.
3) Speak to the public. I mean advertising. They need it to shed their kiddy image and the need it to tell people about their great console. I also mean GOOD advertising. As in frequent, well designed and varied. Anyone seen the MGS:TS trailer, or the Nintendo logo clip at the start of Eternal Darkness? That's the way to advertise the Cube. Powerful, strong.
4) Forget about cracking down on importers; they're always going to be around. Instead, they need to pour resources into getting titles out in various regions efficiently, fairly and in a balanced way timed well with current events (e.g. cut out droughts of games, and don't give us system sellers like Final Fantasy for Christmas).
5) Cook up some big, headline-grabbing events - like Spaceworld, Microsoft buying Rare, Xbox getting GTA - that are also benifitial to the console.
6) Respect the third-parties. Work to entice developers like Codemasters and Activision back to developing for the GameCube. They also need to either stop Sony/Microsoft grabbing temporary third-party exclusives (e.g. BG&E, PoP and Splinter Cell) or get some of their own (and something considerably better than Charlie's Angels).
7) Recognise the retailers. Shelf space for the GameCube is disappearing in many UK shops, with some dropping it altogether. What's the point in telling everyone about your great console if they've got nowhere to buy it? Nintendo need to win back the support from the likes of Argos so that when people go into those shops or flick through the catalogues just to browse, they'll have an immediate oppurtunity to buy a 'Cube - or at least be reminded that they could.
Anyone know how to contact NOE?

Joe Public is Mr Average, 5 foot 10, 13 stone and buys all the medium sized clothes in the Sale before you get there, and thats's why there are only the 40" waist ones left.
Not sure what colour hair he has though, but he's probably skint most of the time and supports Man U :(
> It's not Nintendo's fault Joe Public is thick.

Nelson Munce: HA HA!
*Wheels him out again*

You, me, the man busking in the subway, the woman trying on a new pair of shoes in Debenhams... thats Joe Public.
