As for Ghost Recon - its a good game and yes Russia isn't exactly the Tropics, etc. But it felt like bad graphics taking refuge in bad graphics more than some guy doing well with camo.
The new games graphics are that little bit crisper and for me at least, it makes a whole lot of difference.
It takes careful execution.
But telling the other 'team' to move somewhere on the map is difficult - They always die so I tend to just move one team - Stop and switch to the other move them and stop etc
I think the problem is that it's realisitic. Russian and it's ex territories are like that, and the enemy is in camo. Play the game properly, co ordinating the two teams and so on, and it's brilliant. Island Thunder is great value at the price, it's another 8 missions even if you don't have Live - and you can play all 8 maps and others with other options like Lone Wolf etc
Try using the NVG's or something if your eyesight is no good ! OR turn up the brightness, or check your TV is set up okay. One of the dead giveaways is movement, if something that is part of the scenery moves then put bullets in it !

GAME's 10 day no fuss returns
;).
But alas, no Live play... and the single player is absolutely bolloch. I couldn't actually SEE the enemy for a start. Granted, they'll probably be wearing camouflage (though I couldn't say for sure BECAUSE I COULDN'T SEE THEM), but I fail to see the fun in playing a game where your team-mates are picking off the enemy troops and you're just stood there doing absolutely nothing.
Like I say, Live play could be excellent. But I guess I'll just never know.
I like the addition of the roll when laying flat now - was really annoying to move around in that position in the first game.
I picked up Ghost Recon: IT yesterday and I'm enjoying it. I've had no problems getting my fair share of kills so far, but at the same time I know what some of you are on about cause I experienced it on the other game. Graphics don't usually make a game, but in the case of GR I think thats an exception. The pretty smelly, dark graphics of the first game made it almost impossible to play in single player with friends getting all the kills, etc. I just found that the graphics were so basic and dark, it was really hard to make out the enemy from everything else in the surroundings.
The graphics in the new game are no huge prize winner, but they've been improved enough so that its easier to spot enemies before your team takes everyone out. Plus I think the new setting makes for some brighter surroundings other than just throwing in a lot of dark green, grey and brown.
The only real complaint I've got is that you're squad can't pick up weapons that are dropped by enemies. I like to think that if I were out of ammo and saw a hand gun or something on the floor, I'd at least have the common sense to come to the conclusion that picking it up would really increase my chances of getting out of a hostile territory alive. But then I guess we ARE controlling a team of yanks. ;-)

I'm waiting to get my Halo figures, they were shipped out last Wednesday but delivery is 4-10 days :(
I'm either getting GR:IT or a GBA to Cube link cable + GBA mains adaptor.
I've made a thread about in General Chat because I can't decide.
On one hand there's the crazy multiplayer of Doom using the GBA stuff but GR:IT would be damn good to.
Doom has more levels and is potentially more than a two-player game.
I haven't got Xbox LIVE either, so it's looking more like Doom...
