Whilst looking at all the mags on sale in ASDA yesterday I noticed that there was a free playable demo of Desert Storm II.

Im getting the PS2 version on the 19th but I was wondering what you lot thought of the demo seeing as the versions will be similar.

It's out today. It looks good, but I'll wait a while before I get it.

It's sort of a fully playable expansion to the original but it can be played without the original.

I guess they've made the money off the first and this is using the same engine with a few new weapons and levels but not enough to warrant calling it a sequel or charging full price for it.

Ok I've got a question about "Ghost Recon: Island Thunder" (I would start a new topic but I've started so many and this topic is about a war game...so yea, heh ;) )

strange question.......Why is it so cheap?

It's not tedious. Once again I have to question your approach to the levels.

As I've said there is more than one way to play, simply using 'run and gun' to do the whole game would be dull.

I grew tired of the game by about the 14th level of utter tedium. Why in gods name would I want to back and try the dull, mind numbing levels different ways?

If one game nearly drove me over the proverbial edge, it was Brute Force. It's a shame, because as far as eye candy goes it was very nice.

I played the co-op with my cousin for a bit, it was a lot more fun than going through it alone. Still wasn't enough to make me want to keep the game though.

One level I did like was the one where you go through the sort of bone yard bit that's covered in fog, nice graphical effects and almost tense for a while.

True enough. The game is not just 'run and gun' though.
