Whilst looking at all the mags on sale in ASDA yesterday I noticed that there was a free playable demo of Desert Storm II.

Im getting the PS2 version on the 19th but I was wondering what you lot thought of the demo seeing as the versions will be similar.

Well 2 days, and almost 21 hours later I've finished it. Absolute classic from start to finish. Good characterisation, good level design, tour de force graphics, novel use of stealth and bullet time modes, gorgeous effects, a godsave of an autojump button.

Anyone who plays this should take of autojump, unless there's a tricky half-life-like jump, and turn off autoaim for the entire duration of the game.

Simply stunning.

(Had I played it with autoaim on however it would have played like a steaming pile of poo)

Got Die Hard yesterday. It's good, reminds me of Half-life with the linearity and how it deals with talking to characters. But it has the stealth and bullet time modes aswell. I've played it for 6 hours so far and I think I've only scratched the surface of the game, so I'll withhold judgement for now.

I've also played a few games of the multiplayer, so fat I've found one level that truly rivals goldeneye but I have more multiplayer levels to unlock, so I will with hold judgement for now. It is certainly the multiplayer mode that AUF should have had, but I need to play it more to form any more of an opinion on it than that.

I'm currently stuck on the sniper at the film studios.

Just for the four-player.

I got the game last night, much harder then CDS and it is really good. The controls might take a bit of getting used to because they have tweaked them a little, haven't played the co-op yet because i haev been busy playing the single player campaign. Graphics have been done over alot this is the thign you notice the most, the sounds are also more realistic now. The game is alot more then an add on pack. Once you complete the game on hard mode it gives you the option to try "Extreme mode" which should be interesting.
