Some call it GC, some NGC, some GameCube and others GAMECUBE. They're still acronyms for the same thing.

The original codename for the PlayStation was the PSX, but it was dropped because it's tacky.

No, I do have a PSX, it's just that I call it a PSone because:
a) The PSX doesn't exist
b) PS is too short
c) PS1 looks crap
d) PlayStation is pain to type out loads of times
