Nintendo are a brilliant games company. Being a father of 3 I love nothing more than actually playing games with my three kids. The N64 had four ports on the front which allowed us all to sit and laugh together and interact in something kids of today's generation enjoy. It has also given me a new hobby and my kids aren't complaining that I intend to buy a Gamecube when it is released.

Games such as Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. are so instantly playable, that for me and my kids, we can do something together, without their being a massove gulf between our talents, and it prompts my kids to be competitive, but to also appreciate the talents and efforts of others. Some other games such as Mario and Zelda also teach them basic problem solvong skills and helps them develop mentally in a way they wouldn't recieve in an educational institution.

The most important factor about Nintendo is that there are so many games which appear to the uneducated to be cartoony, and therefore aimed at kids, I do not see it this way. I find some of these games very challenging, but I do not have to worry about my kids being subject to brutal violence against what appear to be human beings. My kids are at an impressionable age, and I do not want them to think that hurting other people is acceptable. What they see in a cartoon world they are able to distinguish from real life and know that some things are wrong.

Behind the bright characters and landscapes of the Nintendo universe lies a real challenge, a true test of ability and something which can be enjoyed by people of all ages, I just hope some console rivalries don't make people miss out on a truely social event that is Nintendo gaming.

I thought he could be a Virtual Newbie... It'd be a real shame if he was, because he sounds like a great bloke...

Even if he is, maybe he could stay and replace some of the has-beens like Bonus and Bonus or maybe Bonus.

Of course, I could never be that mature... it'd kill me to write anything nice about the PS2 from now on...

Damn PlayStation!

And Wookiee?! I have read it! I can be mature and I can write very good topics, but recently I just want to 'let it all out' take my rage out on the Playstation 2... *shudders* I hate those words... I only have to look at one in the shop and repeatedly press the eject button to try and brun out the motor!

I am definitely reccommending this for Gameaday!

A man who sees gaming this way is to be commended, he doesn't argue, his opinions, which although can't be wrong, are backed by all and his communication is marvellous!

Nice to have you here, Mazza!! If you have MSN messenger, most of us chat about gaming on that. There are other dad's and 'post-teen' members:

'FantasyMeister', 'Meka_Dragon', 'Pb' and 'Wookiee Monster'!

Once again, Welcome!

Bonus?... Ha! I bet his 12 year-old brother wrote it! Bonus couldn't say something like that... it must have half killed him!

Im glad i amused you, however unaware of its gross content i found myself shocked by its explicit content. When i found myself walking past a corpse on a metal bed with flies buzzing round it in the street, i thought it a little strange.
