Also, Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine, StarFox Adventures and Mario Party 4 are all Player's Choice range on the same day. Too bad I have all of them :-\
If they were, then I wouldn't have made my statement.
The same with the Xbox.
But when I look at the Playstation 2 (which I'm slightly tempted to get), there's hardly anything at all out that I consider worth getting.
Tis a shame seeing as there are so many games out for it.
> I think Mario Kart carries quite a name really.
Yeah, sure does. Bit like Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. Anyone in gaming knows those names. No really, ANYONE knows them.
Oh god how I loved those games :o)
This price drop will see an increase in sales dramatically (it has done in the US, and a few of my PS2-owning friends are now considering 'Cubes). But I can't help feeling a little screwed over. £80? Now I know Nintendo can do better than that. As well as this price drop being long overdue, that's £20 dearer than the current price in the US, and £10 more than that across the rest of Europe. Considering they REALLY need an impact in Britain, it looks like NOE have once again slipped up.
But I digress. This price drop, coupled with the many system-selling exclusives soon to be released (Harvest Moon and MGS may have slipped back, but there are plenty more), an inevitable large advertising scheme and the fact that Microsoft have confirmed that they won't follow suit with a similar cut, I can really see this being a 'make' Christmas for Nintendo. No break about it.
> We still have the Xbox price drop remember.
Microsoft are already losing one hell of a lot per console sold.
They'll literally be giving them away soon!
However, they can afford to do so, in order to build up a fan base for the next Microsoft system.
As for the GameCube price drop - Nintendo needed to reduce it to atleast £100. This drop to £80 will allow retailers to make up packs to sell for £100 meaning kids get great games/consoles and the parents spend a penny less than a ton on them this Christmas.
As for my "i hate Nintendo" brother... he can't wait for Mario Kart.
