There's something I've been meaning to say on here for a while, and with the events of the last few days and people's reaction to them, this seems like a good time to get around to it.

A lot of you on these forums are young - particularly those that post regularly in the FoG threads.

I've never been particularly fond of 'kids'; even when I was at school, I saw many of the people as immature, and I didn't have time for them.

Even today when I walk around the estate where I live, and in Northampton Town Centre, I see people about the same age as many of you - teenagers - acting and sounding like complete idiots. There are even those in their late teens or early/mid-twenties who should know better, behaving like complete morons and sounding like retards with their mates.

It's not like that here.

Although I've had differences of opinion with some of you, I regard you all very highly and have a lot of respect for you. Whether you realise it or not, you shame a lot of people twice your age. You are thoughtful, considerate and caring, and it is refreshing to see that not *all* youngsters these days are only interested in drink, drugs, and skipping school to be 'hip and cool' with their friends.

Thanks guys.

Aww, thanks Wookiee - if you incude me in that :-)

I have often noticed the complete lack of loutish behavour on these forums. Occasionly you get n idiot who can barely type starting some trouble but they get quickly driven out - no-one wants them here.

And yet you never mentioned anything at all about my post. How could you, all of that time and effort just for you to ignore it. Shame on you Paul. AS for you Mr.Snuggly well there ain't much I can say about that comment apart from laugh until my insides are on my outside. And when you say most, is that to most 2 year olds?

Im not particually inclined to agree with your speech Wòókiee, a lot of what you said, from where i live is the complete opposite. Im 16 and myself and all my mates are quite serious these days with exams and 6th form. I dont know how old a lot of you are on this forum so i generally dont really judge any one...unless the topics are complete rubbish.

When I post on here and send e-mails etc. I try to use reasonably good grammar but sometimes when I’m on MSN Messenger, it’s just too tempting to type “how r u” instead of, “Hi, how are you?”

People who post in net-speak (or what ever you wish to call it) on here are very… well, silly because they always seem to stand out. When you have people like WM, pb, Dogfat, RBS, SHEEPY, all SR Staff (and so on…) who all use great grammar you really do look like a fool when you use quick abbreviations.

“I've never been particularly fond of 'kids'”

Wookiee, who is fond of them? They smell, do not wash very frequently, cause havoc everywhere they go, and spend their pocket money as fast as anything!

Oh, and good post Wookiee.
