The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
biglime has only made two posts in February and plasmahead is non-existent.
If you would like to be a moderator for the General Chat forum please apply by clicking the link on the chat home page. If you are already a moderator and would like to be a moderator for the General Chat forum then the link might not work for you, so please make your request known by clicking the "Alert a Staff Moderator" link near the top of the page.
When we program the new moderator powers (see Vexxxed's thread) we will take a look at the process of appointing and changing moderators to see if it can be improved.

Really? Well you have my support =) I don't have much influence over the staffies anymore, but I'm sure they'll take you on. Although you do make less than 2 posts a day, atleast that's miles better than biglime. =D
I'm retiring so maybe we'll trade places? I'll become the quiet helpful expert and you become the obnoxious spammer. =) Pay isn't very good, but there are some perks of the job.

It wasnt, if it was would never have posted, as I said in WLT no interest in posting "I agree" type things.

I already did. I doubt I'm really moderator material though, my visibility isnt that great even if I do check the forums often.

Sure it wasn't ;) hey now that you're here, why not apply to be a mod Garin? You get on with most of the people here and you have lots of free time. You're perfect for the job.

Your post wasnt there when I hit reply. :P

Yes we will. Which gives the poster a chance to appeal in another forum and also allows them to setup a system where if a poster is barred from 2/3 forums they're banned from all.
This way we get an effective system AND moderator accountability.
Sorted.

Just a guess but I dont think the mod system they're against changing but more a matter of how you'd make forum-wide mods work in the context of the user created forums. The idea is/was 3-4 people could get together and decide they want to run a forum and take responsibility for it. If we've just got forum-wide mods how does that work then? Users dont have to take responsibility for forums they create the and its left to the forum-wide mods to do it. I'm not sure that would be acceptable.
Now you can say get rid of the user created forums bit. Yet that leaves the forums shape back under the control of Freeola. And given the amount of criticism they received previously for dictating what forums we'd have, I can understand why they might like the user created aspect. :)
Perhaps theres a happy medium between the 2 but nobody has suggested one so far.

I think Tonys doing it so we can mod all the forums though. He just wants to replace the GC mods who dont even post here anymore.

I'm all for that, but I think Tony likes that people promote their own forums. Like GP and his Sports forum and pb and his Creative forum.
Perhaps there should be 5 globals mods and each forum has a clan. The clan that performs the best in terms of worthy GAD winning threads wins. =) The prize is umm a GAD?
All you need is 5-8 forum-wide mods and then you can do away with assigning people sections. You'll also pretty much always have moderation for the entire board.
