Latest from CNN:

CNN) -- Search teams rescued five firefighters from the wreckage of the World Trade Center towers even as the Three World Financial Center -- across the street from the site of the collapsed towers -- appeared to be listing and could be in danger of collapsing, authorities said Thursday.

Emergency workers have been pulled back from the 54-story building, home to American Express, and smoke was seen coming from the windows, said CNN Producer Adam Reiss, who was on the scene.

The five firefighters were found alive, trapped in an SUV buried in rubble from the destroyed towers. Two of the firefighters were able to leave the vehicle unassisted; all five were transported to the hospital.

Earlier, President Bush told New York Gov. George Pataki and Mayor Rudy Giuliani that he would visit New York City Friday to view the devastation from Tuesday's terror attacks.

Also on Thursday, airports across the nation reopened and investigators pressed their manhunt for those involved in the hijacking and crashes of four commercial jets on Tuesday -- two that destroyed the twin towers of New York's World Trade Center and a third that slammed into the western wall of the Pentagon in Washington.

•Turkish military sources said the United States has bolstered its presence at an air base near the Iraqi border.

•U.S. stock markets will resume trading at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.

• President Bush plans to meet Thursday afternoon with his security advisers to discuss possible military responses to the attacks, according to senior White House aides.

• Pakistan President Gen. Pervez Musharraf issued a statement that his country is providing all of its resources in an effort coordinated with the United States to punish those involved in the acts of terrorism.

• FBI Director Robert Mueller said a preliminary investigation indicated 18 hijackers were on the four planes -- five on each of the two planes that crashed into the World Trade Center, and four each on the planes that crashed into the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.

•U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell named Osama bin Laden as one of the primary suspects in the hijackings and crashes.

• Major League Baseball has postponed all games until Monday, a total of 91 games. NFL also canceled weekend play. Four golf tournaments have been canceled. Some college football teams will play, some won't.

•American Airlines uniforms and a pilot's key card -- which grants access to the holder to any American Airlines facility in the world -- were taken from a hotel in Rome, Italy, earlier this year, police said Thursday.

• Officials in southwestern Pennsylvania said they have identified and cordoned off a second debris site about 2 to 6 miles away from the crash site of United Flight 93, the fourth hijacked plane in Tuesday's terror attack. Cell phone calls from passengers aboard the plane indicated the hijackers may have had a bomb and also that they were planning to try to retake the plane from the terrorists.

• The Pentagon says that an estimated 190 people died in the Pentagon crash; the highest ranking officer was a three-star army general. The figure included the 64 passengers and crewmembers on the plane.

• Giuliani says that the number of missing in New York has now topped 4,760. The mayor said that 94 bodies have been recovered, 46 of them identified.

•The Department of Housing and Urban Development will direct all FHA lenders to provide flexibility and delay any threats of foreclosure actions for 90 days to all families holding FHA-insured mortgages who were affected by the terrorist attacks, according to White House spokesman Ari Fleischer.

• Attorney General John Ashcroft ordered the Justice Department to streamline the process to provide emergency benefits to the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and ambulance crews who died in the line of duty.

• The House of Representatives passed a resolution Thursday, calling on all Americans to fly the national flag.

• One of two brothers who had been identified by federal authorities as possible hijackers involved in the terrorist attacks is alive and cooperating with the FBI, sources said. Federal sources initially had identified Adnan Bukhari and Ameer Bukhari as possible hijackers who had boarded one of the planes that originated in Boston. Bukhari's attorney, however, said that Adnan Bukhari was not involved and that Ameer Bukhari died in a small plane crash last year. The attorney said that the brothers' identification had been stolen.

These days Nukes are seen as a retaliatory weapon only, if someone uses them on you you use them back. To use them for anything else other than bringing everyone down with you would be foolish since they could do untold damage not only to nearby innocent countries but to the environment of the world too.

A funny thing was said to me recently and while we're on the subject of nukes I may as well bring it up. Anyone remember Hiroshima? Was it not the Americans who wanted to test a nuclear device in real life conditions so they chose a target for which it was totally unnecessary and killed thousands if not hundreds of thousands of innocent people who were in a country that was no longer a threat. It's funny though, how everyone is calling this the worst man made disaster when the Americans themselves used a nuclear weapon on a real city. now technically that isn't a disaster since it was deliberate but so was the terrorist attack and while Hiroshima may have been in war time it was totally unnecessary to attack let alone nuke them. Was there really all this fuss over the business at Hiroshima? It's a fair point though, perhaps the Americans will have learned how terrible such a disaster is (if they needed to) and maybe they'll start to see the wrongs they have done in the past (Vietnam included). Yes it's a terrible thing and everything and I don't deny that but the Americans maybe are being a little hypocritical. I don't remember it being this big. All this over the top retaliation business only worries me more.

Of course the chances of nuclear war are slim, a nuclear power would have to get involved (though who says they aren't already). The thing that worries me is that people are still more than willing to kill, even if innocents die, just for revenge. They might end up as bad as the terrorists.

I think the attacks in the US were seen as an attack on every democracy on the planet.
We must remember that a large number of the dead came from countries other than the US.

Today i heard that my daughters friends Aunt was on the second plane that hit the WTC. So it goes to show that a lot of us could be affected by this and not just the Americans.

Although the attacks in Ireland are aimed at civilians they might be seen as attacks on a single country, from inside, and not the entire UN.

Lets just hope that the UN can keep the US under control and not let them run rampant throughout the middle east.

The terrorists are said to be woking out of 34 countries so routing them out will take the rest of the worlds intelligence resources not brute force.

The talks about nuclear weapons are just ridiculous. No democratic country would use these, unless in self defense, because of fear of reprisals.
We have to remember that the Afgans are heavily supported by Pakistan who are too Muslims.
Pakistan has shown us that is has nuclear weapons.

I remember the Falklands war and the Gulf war in detail, yes i know i must be old. These are times that i wish my children never see. To expose our young children to war changes them for life. In the 80's we lived under the constant worry of a nuclear war. This was terrifying.
I just hope to god that this doesn't happen to us.
