just half an hour ago the north tower of the world trade centre in New York City was hit by a small passenger airplane then the south tower was hit by a larger private jet hit the south tower...the first jet is said to have been hijacked.......

The recent events will no doubt take a part in the rest of all of our lives, the events yesterday still hasn't yet sunk in with me and watching everything on television was all surreal and was just like watching a moive. It just still doesn't seem clear to me why someone would want to fly a plane with innocent people on board into an important landmark. To prove a point? To show that terroism of any kind is possible, flying a plane into the pentagon has shown us this and now as of now security will be higher on every airport service there is.
The sad part of this for me is that my aunty and uncle have yet to make contact with us and they live in NY, I just pray they are alive.

I would like to know what happened to the 4th plane. It could have been the real pilot ditching the airplane but considering that it seems they had trained pilots onboard (no real pilot would have flown into the towers) then that is not liley. It seems to me that it must have been shot down. It is understandable if that was the case as even though you are killing nthe passengers you are saving a larger ammount of people if that plane had been heading for DC.

today was kind strange,when we got to school everyone was talking about it,giving there views and opinions on who did it and why.which i excpected to happen as its always how it is.
we were told there would be a special assembely during first period.half way through the lessen the hole school went into the hall for assembely,it was the first full school assembely since i was in year 8 (im now in 11)
as you can probably guess,it was about the tradgedy in america.
during the assembely the principal said something along these lines. tuesday the 11th of september 2001 is a day that will go down in history,in the furure its a topic that people will study,watch videos of etc.it was the first time i had thought about that,we were here,when what could be the biggest act of violence on the civilised world.she also said, in years to come,your children will ask you about this day
