"Moderators - What Can You Do?"

Good Morning All!

Moderators and non Moderators alike, lend me your ears! (or eyes in this case!) With all the recent stress and aggravation caused by the JA's, we at Freeola are wishing to know exactly what:

A) Moderators - what would you like to be able to do, to be able to perform your jobs more effectively?

B) Regulars and chatters - What would you like to see Moderators able to do, to be able to help protect the forums from spammers and abusive users? Or do you think they currently have enough power?

Once we know exactly what you want to be able to do on here, without having to worry about alerting us staffies all the time, (although we should always be lurking to take action) we should be able to make this a better place to be.

Vexxxed/Tony have you decided on what's going to happen?

tbh we just want to stop the spammers who sign up just to cause problems, spam and post links to gay porn. That's all.

I reluctantly agree.

It's a shame that wrestling is totally awful at the moment.

Found this by accident as I usually only ever post in the Internet Forum, so I would like to see threads like this posted on all forums so all moderators get a chance to reply.

I also think the ability to move a thread from one forum to another would be good, as we had some one post a game thread in our forum, so the ability to move misplaced threads would be good.

Banning? I think we should not need to ban users, not had that need in Websites and Internet as they are all well behaved, how ever we do have the ability to report posts, so that Staffies can decide on bans!!

Other than that I think the controls already in place seem to work fine on the Forum that I use most

The only thing I thought was daft was that I'm able to delete posts made by regulars, and ban them from the Intelligent Discussion forum, but not JATs. Has that been fixed, because if anything it should be the other way about ...

If you staff aren't going to be about very often, and you want the mods to basically do all the 'babysitting' here on the forum, then they'll have to have some way of banning or limiting access to the muppets that occasionally plague this place.

There's no objections from me, even though I'm a mod I don't really post there as there's not enough other people posting on there.

Can we not forget this selective modding system and just have forum-wide mods. It's a better system by far

Can't I mod the games forum instead? I don't think I've ever even seen moderators there.

I really think we should be taking the WWE forum down. There have been no posts for the past two weeks.

If there are no objections I think Vexxxed should go ahead and remove it.
