The animation and character models are superb, the overall look of the game is brilliant, whether or not the game should look like a kids cartoon is another debate altogether, but I have seen a few arguements debating whether the game looks good or not, from what I have seen, technically the game looks brilliant, although the footage I saw of the game was obviously from an FMV, as the camera didn;t follow Link, it showed shots of bad guys falling off the edges of stairs etc. If these are the in-game graphics however, it is lookinf very god indeed, technically that is.

Watch the video. This new pastel look is much better than the plasticine look of the old demo.

Watch the video and you'll see how much better this effect makes the game. The smoke effects are dodgy but apart from that, it looks first class!

Ah but... the original OofT shots looked crap, but the finished result was much better. Shigsy is probably using these visuals to distract the programmers from wasting memory on visuals and making them concentrate on gameplay. I bet he reveals a much better look to the game, more like OofT and Majora's Mask, nearer to the game's launch.

I'm completely with you here!

Iv'e always been a fan of Zelda but the cartoony look just doen't appeal as nice lush 3D models would, I hope this turns out to be a good thing Nintendo!

If you've seen the video and you still don't like it then watch it again.

If you still don't like it then wait until the game is released.
Play it and if you STILL don't like it...

... well, you will, surely...

Just hope it's a huge game with classic gameplay and a good plot.

Cel-shading is a graphical technique performed by the Gpahics Processing Unit. In the PS2's case, the GPU doesn't know of such a technique and, therefore, cannot perform it.
However, you may see several games in magazines, being developed on PS2, that look like they're cel-shaded. Let me assure you though, it's fake. The most common way of faing it is to apply outlined textures to models.

See it in motion and you'll quickly realise that animation and smoothness like this was never possible before the Gamecube.

I don't know if this is true but I've heard someone say that the PS2 CAN'T do cell shading.
I'm sure that Bonus can set us straight there.

Probably because they want to be different from all the other RPGs.
