If you haven't got it yet... then go and get it... right now. Stop reading, go buy the game.
Are you still here?
Oh need persuading. Well it literally reeks "cool", it is so cool to watch Joe smash a robot in front of him whilst dodging a bullet and kicking the enemy behind him right in the moosh. Controlling is beautiful ahem Viewtiful and it's even slightly taxing.
And it's a tad adult too.
Cool. Yes very cool.
Buy.

The problem with that technique, I found, is that he gets a new axe delivered and you're guaranteed to get hit by it because you're going so fast. I prefer to go in close, wait for him to do his ground swipe, avoid it, land back on the ground and pund him until his bombs are about to appear. Then run away without getting set on fire.
Done him anyway now though, up to the shark. Who can heal himself, and has about a million energy bars. Got him down to the orange one a few times, getting him to swallow a spike bomb is definitely the route. Explode it in his mouth and carry on beating seven shades out of him (literally in terms of energy bars).
Brilliant, brilliant game though.

No, he goes absolutely mental at you if you do that. I tried twice, and failed both times. I tried my method once, and succeeded.
Destroy his axe in slow and then pound him in super fast mode.
And use the speed thingy (R) to put out the fires.
I've been trying to beat him by hopping over his axe in slow mo then beating the crud out of him until my gage is nearly out, which works quite well. Except I seem to be on fire quite a large amount of the time. But what the hell is that move where you just react as if you've been hit when nothing is near you?
