Viewtiful Joe arrived this morning and have been playing it for the last couple of hours. Sweet Capcom mother of gaming this is one hell of a title. The moves, the slow motion, the style, the character art, everything in this game looks awesome and it feels great to play. Its a hard game to describe as I haven't played anything like it before but its definitley a great change from shooting and racing games.

Anyway back I go for another hour or so and then I will most likely read the maunal, bloody difficult game too :)

Fair enough.

I'd say Nintendo sorta personify fun... as in doesn't take itself seriously.

It isn't a Donnie Darko of a company more a Pirate of the Carribean.

Very fun...

Then again I'd say Viewtiful Joe can fit into this "fun" catagory... as can Worms.

That's very true, but I wasn't necessarily talking about Sony and Microsoft. Overall, Nintendo do make most fun games - but I retracted that comment because fun games can be found in places other than Nintendo consoles. Taking on three Dark Jedi completely alone with two lightsabres in KotOR on Xbox, for example, is exhilirating and superb.

So I just thought it's better to be precise with Ali on the prowl...

Agreed.

I loved the DK series on the SNES but I didn't like DK64... It was just a far too big and confusing version of Banjo Kazooie. Much like Banjo Tooie.

Banjo Kazooie was a fantastic game and was very close to Mario 64 for best plaftormer on the N64 stakes... in my slightly strange eyes.

We should start a club.

SFPF

Society for platformer fans.

Oh and we can create the "Make Platformer an actual word campaign".

I wouldn't, because other platformers are way better.

But it just had the magc ingrediants.......

-Collectables
-A tree-ish level
-Bad guys that you can jump on
-3-D, go anywhere-ish levels.

Sure, it was completely generic, but I love 3-D platforming.

*cries*
