This is such an immense improvement at least graphically over the last one. Ive not played it too much, but i did start the story mode yesterday which i have to say is really good. The cut scenes are top notch.

Ive bought some parts and stuff from the shop, but havent put them to any real use yet.

Okay i did it, and even hit him a few times to spin him around for a few seconds. now I just have to get 25 points for next story chapter. i did manage to avoid all the boulders, that's the easy part, but every time i got near him he sped off on a boost even if i didn't use any.

You're going to have a lot of trouble with the rest of the game then. That's the easiest chapter to complete.

All you have to do is save all your boost for as long as possible. It doesn't matter if he's speeding away at the beginning, because by the time you're farily near the finish line, if you've kept a good racing line then you'll be right behind him, as he swerves needlessly in and out of boulders. Just keep to the outside of the track the majority of the time, as you'll hardly ever get hit.

Then, as you close in on him, and the finish line is in sight, boost like hell down the inside.

Easy. Even on Very Hard.

You cannot see ghosts by nature.

Hohohohoho. Best racer ever.

I just got F-Zero, but can't play it for a bit.

Ah well.

I can't get past story mode 2 the one with falcon and the fat guy, I almost make it but he is asically invincible even though i hit him with the enrgry thingy twice in one race, he doesn't blow up, and he seems to have an unlimited amount of boosts too.

I've unlocked and bought everything (except a couple of staff ghosts), Fat Shark (unlocked by beating chapter 4 on story mode on very hard) is very quick but handles poorly, some of the other AX vehicles are OK but nothing jumps out at you as fantastic.

Custom vehicles is the way to go, I'm currently using the Garnet Goose Z, set 3 new records with it yesterday.

I bought it for the PC and had many a happy hour playing it, very good under-rated game.

How many of the AX Vehicles have you lot unlocked?

I've got two of them - the ones from Chapter 2 and Chapter 5.

I really need to get around to beating some of the Cups on Master Mode as well.
