Pretty decent game so far although a few things haven't really lived up to what I hoped. For starters the game isn't as fast as I originally magined and although it runs like a dream I still feel well in control of the vehicles which is something I never fealt when playing the Wipeout games. The tracks I have done so far in the Free run mode are damn fine to look at but they are a tad on the short side with very little variation in terms of track layout aside from the obvious visual aspect.

The handling is sweet and the vehicles are quality to control and with one of the easiest control layouts I have ever seen. Great to control, great to look at and some pretty decent audio tracks. Nothing absolutely amazing so far but none the less a solid title that I am hoping will get better the more I go into it. Will crack on with the Story mode later but for now I just want to get used to different vehicles.

So far so good.

Yes there is so much to do at 2:00am when you have to be up for 6:45am...

Or not.

Online can be as fun but there's nothing 'nerdy' about it unless your one of those 'pro' gamers :S

There's nothing nerdy about getting some mates round and playing computer games. It's just as valid a past-time as going out to play football. Sitting by yourself and playing online isn't very sociable at all, and is much 'geekier'. Sure, there's the headset, but it's just a little awkward when you're almost talking to yourself and there's little room to enjoy the whole experience of multiplayer and have a laugh. Online is multiplayer gaming with most social elements removed, really.

Oh and if you think online gaming is geeky then your years behind.. its now pretty normal if people use forums such as this or using MSN messenger to chat to friends!
Gaming is fun and sociable compared to the old days.

Pc online lame?
You just have to stick to it like a newbie you have to go through whether your playing on X-Box Live or on a PC.
LIVE IS exactly like PC online gaming except it doesn't have a huge catalogue of online games compared to the PC and it doesn't allow some users to make mods out of some of their game engines (quake 3, Ut2003, Half life etc)

Thing is though, all my mates have supposedly grown out of computer games so Live gives me an excellent chance to play against other gamers.

I rarely bother with single player games anymore. Why would I? would you rather play a game where you walk around with 3 AI opponents with personalites shallower than a swimming pool after Lisa Riley did a dive bomb? or would you rather play with 3 other dudes who you get along with, messing around and cracking jokes about homosexual Danish people every 5 seconds (the homo Danish people won't make any sense to anyone other than Alistair).

Live is social gaming, sure it's not as socialble as having people round, but it's a hell of a lot more sociable than yelling expletives at AI opponents whilst stroking your beard.
