No updates for Rainbow Six 3 till the new year and when they do it'll only be a .50 cal patch and 1 new level. If they seriously want people to continue playing their game online they're gonna really have to pull their fingers out, 9 paltry levels and a 4 month wait for a 1 level update is just not right. They promised so much yet so far all we've seen is jack all.

Thank god I've got Counterstrike to keep me busy.

Oh and the new level will be Parade, based on the single player campaign mission. Quite why it takes them so long to rip deathmatch levels from the campaign missions I can't imagine.

And if it ends up being disappointing, I may end up never playing games again.

You just know thought that PD2 will be the greatest game ever seen.

I can see Rare slowly crafting a masterpiece. I expect it to look stunning (as would joanna dark), more guns, more levels, more modes, live support. I know Rare have been criticised of late, but I expect this to make Halo look poor.

It better have infinite* options like the first perfect dark, that was what made it so unbelievably versatile and excellent.

* = may or may not be infinite

Indoobetably.

But MS will milk that for all its worth.

I.e XBox2 launch title or some such unfair thing.

what we need is a new perfect dark game to put all these FPS's to shame once again.

Phew. I thought they would have ruined the memory of PC counter strike. Well that looks like the next proper game I buy. I should get my finger out and write some more reviews!

I know this question wasn't directed to me but I thought I'd reply as well as tilta, don't buy this game if you don't have live!! its about as good as having a bath with a plugged in toaster. if you have live its superb, it shines like no other and its so unique (its a first person shooter yes, its like rainbow six in some ways yes.)

its allot more arcade and you have to hold the trigger down sometimes and hope for the best.

me and tilta played allot of Thursday and Friday on it and had (from my point of view) a great time. near the end of our long session i got a bit bored and chased him around with a knife! :D

With all those levels its bloody brilliant i think the best levels are: Aztec, Italy, dust, dust 2 and stadium and maybe the snowy one. but don't ask tilt what his favorite level is, because he says "oh this level is mint" whenever we change map LOL! ;)

you're damn right. the hard drive/Live combination is the greatest combination since salt and vinegar.

I wonder how much of a developers time is allocated to keeping old games going......

Maps I iamgine don't take ages, but what kind of length of time will they carry on? I suppose its popularity...
