No updates for Rainbow Six 3 till the new year and when they do it'll only be a .50 cal patch and 1 new level. If they seriously want people to continue playing their game online they're gonna really have to pull their fingers out, 9 paltry levels and a 4 month wait for a 1 level update is just not right. They promised so much yet so far all we've seen is jack all.

Thank god I've got Counterstrike to keep me busy.

Oh and the new level will be Parade, based on the single player campaign mission. Quite why it takes them so long to rip deathmatch levels from the campaign missions I can't imagine.

The .50 cal patch actually refers to the ability to switch them off during matches, which is a great idea. I don't know why they can't make the weapon sets completely customisable, allowing you to switch on or off any of the weapons. this would make games far more interesting.

One thing I'm going to do from now on I think is disallow thermal goggles, as they completely negate the uses of both smoke and flashbangs - two pieces of equipment that can be very effective used properly.

here's a pic of the real .50 cal sniper rifle anyway, there is a picture comparing its size to the M16 rifle further down. How the hell could anyone run around with one of these?? you can use that site to find info on all of the guns featured in Rainbow Six 3 too!

You say it like you didn't expect it...

Counterstrike is excellent. If RS 6 isn't enough I suggest people pick up XIII and CS too. Also there's a lot of early Live games going cheap now (RTCW, Unreal, SOF2, Ghost Recon + Island Thunder) so getting your online FPS fix is really rather easy.

Give them a break.

Ubi-Soft have created a very good game in Rainbow Six 3, likewise with Prince of Persia, Beyond Good & Evil and XIII. They have had an excellent track record recently and that looks set to continue - it seems they have plenty of new projects to work on aside from online updating.

They certainly deserve more credit than they do criticism.

People good at shooting enemy in real-life = Cool
People who kill enemy on videogames = geek

RS3 looks amazing, should be getting it around Christmas if my brother gets an XBox. Counter-Strike looks a bit crap, but that's probably because I hated the original.

Counterstrike's excellent, you just suck at it :D

Seriously though, it's slowly taking over from Rainbow Six 3 as my favourite online game. Excellent, as long as you're not looking for a technical masterpiece then you should be very happy....oh and you also have to expect to get pummelled by some of the geek on the server, believe me, there's a hell of a lot of geeks.

I found the single player quite amusing myself, I liked knocking the zombies limbs off and the whole first level because it was tainted in goldeneye which was a obvios rip off, but fun none the less.
