No updates for Rainbow Six 3 till the new year and when they do it'll only be a .50 cal patch and 1 new level. If they seriously want people to continue playing their game online they're gonna really have to pull their fingers out, 9 paltry levels and a 4 month wait for a 1 level update is just not right. They promised so much yet so far all we've seen is jack all.

Thank god I've got Counterstrike to keep me busy.

Oh and the new level will be Parade, based on the single player campaign mission. Quite why it takes them so long to rip deathmatch levels from the campaign missions I can't imagine.

Actually guns themselves aren't my speciality, I presume it is due to the gun itself. A 9mm hand gun might have a wider bullet, but if not as long or with a lower muzzle velocity than a 7.62 mm cal rifle, then the rifle is more powerful.

ah, I didn't know it was inches, that's where the confusion was.

also though - a 7.62mm is more powerful than a 9mm. why?

ah.

i don't understand all this stuff about calibers - perhaps you can shed some light on it.

How can a gun with a .50 cal round be more powerful than one with a 7.62 round, or am I a complete eejit?

Yeah it is pretty good. Just there is a scene in it where someone uses a sniper rifle on a chopper. Later they talk about it probably being a .50 cal.

apparently the .50 cal sniper rifle is used primarily as an 'anti-helicopter' weapon.

so it'd make quite a mess of a soldier
