er-no talked me into downloading it, and I've got to say that despite my initial qualms about a 227MB download, it was well worth it.
Legend of Mir is basically an RPG, set in a medieval landscape, where you travel from town to town hacking up monsters and other players on route, trying to get them before they get you, levelling up as you go.
The fun part is the other players. I was playing on a 56k modem, and it was a little laggy at times, but it didn't stop me becoming a 'Player Killer' (PK) within a matter of minutes when I found a sword and used it on an unsuspecting noobie. He'll be ok, he just lost a few items and started again from the last town he was in.
But it WAS kinda fun. Maybe I'm getting bloodthirsty in my old age, but now I'm having more and more battles with other online players and hardly touching the monsters. On the plus side it's a quick way to level up. On the downside it doesn't exactly get you a lot of friends.
You can even join a group of however many players you wish (SR Forums Guild, anyone?). That way when you kill monsters together, it doesn't matter which one of you deals the finishing blow, you all share the experience points. The great thing about groups is that you can go to war bigtime, not just against other players but against other groups and guilds too, all in realtime isometric view 3D.
Fun stuff.

Wookiee is an old man and uses any chance he has of turning the conversation perverse to remind him of his sordid past.
