There are so many sequels in games today, the recent releases usually consist of so-and-so 2, or thingy 4, and so forth - but which of these spawns of the original games do you think rocks more than the others out there?
I'd have to say GTA Vice City (without sounding like a fanboy), as it's thrown the GTA series from its birds-eye-view pixelated layout, to a beautifully rendered 3D world.
Other series's I think have improved since the originals include Age of Empires 2, it's just the best strategy game ever, if you disagree with me you are wrong.
However other series's seem to get worse as they go along. The Fifa series peaked with Fifa 99', a gem of a game, but the more recent Fifa titles lick balls - off the ball control? What!?
So, what sequels are good and which ones drink man mayonaise?

What, you mean multiply the previous game by about 100 and add more depth than the Mariana Trench, rather than changing the time period, and er....

GT3. GT4 (so I've been told)
Ford Racing 2 (at least from the demo it seems a lot better).

I've heard C&C generals is tres gut, cant afford it though.
Command and conquer, extremely good.
Yeah, Streets Of Rage 2 was a definite improvement on the first but Streets Of Rage 3 was a total shocker.
Lets not forget streets of rage 2. Comapre it with streets of rage one and we'll all agree that its an improvement.
Perfect Dark was a great indirect sequwl, as was F1GP2.
Metroid Prime.
Sonic series got better
Sensible Soccer probably. It was great to start with and then got better with 96/97 on the Amiga. Great memories.
